When it rains it POURS!!!!

Okay so for those of you who haven't heard about everything, here's the scoop....not long after Halloween, we were excited to find out that baby #4 was in the making. Just as fast as we began preparing to bring another child into the world, our excitement turned into sorrow. A little over 2 weeks ago, I began having problems, so we decided to go to the hospital to see what was going on. It was then that we were given the shattering news that this pregnancy was looking more and more like it was not going to be viable. A couple of days after we received the news, the pregnancy ended in miscarriage. This whole ordeal has been a lot harder than I ever imagined. My emotions are on a constant roller coaster. My poor hubby has had to pick up a lot of the responsibilities that I do as a mom, and that's been hard on him. Despite the emotional stress, we've been trying to move on and get over this, but it's very difficult. Then on top of all this, I completely threw my back out yesterday and now down again. I just don't understand why when it rains, it has to completely pour? Why do trials have to come in clumps? It's frustrating. So, that's been the latest going on in our family. Sorry it's not the most uplifting news. Hopefully our next blog will have some better things to tell about. Until then, hope everybody has a great holiday season. We'll be getting our cards out hopefully real soon!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! This is the best time of year......NOT! I have a lot of blogs to post, but I thought I'd start with halloween since it's the most recent. We've been busy as usual and I just don't get down to the computer as often as I used to. Sorry! :( Anyway, the kids LOVED Halloween. Even Bonkie loved it, but wasn't too enthused about wearing a costume and having his face colored. He loved trick-or-treating, but was a little upset when his bucket broke and his candy started spilling out. Luckily once of our neighbors was nice enough to give him a bag to use for the rest of the time. Squiddies decided she wanted to be Cruella De Vil this year which was hilarious! It was tough trying to find anything that would work for a costume, but that's what the DI's for right? The wig was the best part of the whole thing. Mr. I decided he wanted to be a hot dog this year. I came home from the store one day and was telling him about a hot dog costume that I found and he started laughing and was determined to be that for Halloween....needless to say, I went and bought it. It was better than having him be Bob the Builder which was his first choice! Anywhoo, here's some highlights from Halloween!
We went all out on the pumpkin carving this year.
Might I point out the glowing Frankenstein Giant Pez Dispenser in the window! It was cool! :)
Having fun with the pumpkins...
Squidee's kindergarten class. The cat next to her is one of her best friends.
She was so incredibly excited that we came to her school. I thought she was going to pee her fur when she saw us!
Mr. I and his teacher Miss Erin. She's one of the best teachers he's had. The other little girl is his "girlfriend". She has a major crush on Mr. I and follows him everywhere.
Bonkie had fun joining his big brother in school for a day.
The kiddos!
Attempting to wipe off his make-up.
Not too happy that mom painted his face. In fact he was less than enthused!
The famous Cruella De Vil wig. May the poor thing finally rest in peace now that Halloween is over!

Our Sweet Pea turns 6!!

This weekend was S's 6th birthday! I'm still amazed at how fast she's growing. I hardly even remember her as a baby. She was such a quiet, even-tempered baby, who gave mom very little trouble. She was born at kind of a bitter-sweet moment in our lives, as we were just learning about Mr. I's disabilities, and yet she brought a lot of peace at that time as well. She is still our little peacemaker in the home.....well most of the time anyway. She is such a little mommy to her brothers, which can be good and bad....depending on my mood! She loves to help me around the house, as long as I don't tell her to clean her room (which I make her do everyday). She is becoming a very talented kiddo with her artwork and dancing, and is now wanting to learn the piano. She finally mastered riding her bike this summer and LOVES being able to have that freedom without our help, since she's a pretty independent kiddo.....for the most part. Happy 6th Birthday Sweet Pea!! We hope you'll always know how much we love you and are grateful to have you in our family!

Excited about her Tinkerbell cake!
Mr. I took this picture!
Meet Olivia....our newest member of the family!
Finally.....NO MORE TODDLER BIKES!
Hot item of the night!

Impatiently waiting to open her presents!

Alas......SCHOOL STARTS AGAIN!!!

Well after a very LOOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGG summer, the kiddos are finally back in school. This is S's first year of actual school. She started Kindergarten on August 4 and LOVES it! The schools out here are year-round, so she got an early start, but now is off track until October 5th, so she's bored! Mr. I started on August 26 and I tell ya, HE NEEDED TO GO BACK IN THE WORST WAY!! He has never done well with change and every summer kills our family. Getting him on a good summer routine is not a problem, but at the same time it's a HUGE problem since he's used to his regular school routine. By the time we get him adjusted to the change, it's time to go back to the regular schedule! AUTISTIC KIDS! YOU GOTTA LOVE 'EM! So other than the adjustment of having 2 kids in 2 different schools, and on 2 different schedules, life is gradually starting to get back to normal again, other than S... being off track and bored for the next 4 weeks. On that note, Bonkie isn't too bummed out about that. He has a playmate again, but at the same time, has found other ways to occupy his time as you will see........
....does he look bored to you??? And we wonder why we all caught his cold?
occupying his alone time by hiding and playing with his cars.
After only a mere hour long wait....the bus finally arrives for Mr. I
Eating breakfast on the porch while we wait for the bus that at this point was about 35 minutes late!
Yeah he had to wait quite a long time. The bus is ALWAYS late on the first day of school!
On her little kindeeeeegarten playground!
S's very first day of school!
S's first week of kindergarten, Mr. I's last week of summer school. It made for a briefly quiet week.

Campin' with the FAM!

Okay so once again, I've slacked off.....sort of. Our internet has been down for a very long time, and finally we got someone to come out and fix it yesterday, so hopefully he REALLY fixed it this time. Also, we have been passing the stomach flu around here.....AGAIN! Is it me, or does our family get this stupid virus more than most? I don't get it! For the past year, we have had more stomach bugs fly through this home than any other virus out there! YUCK! Anywhoo, me and Isaac were both knocked down this weekend with this nasty bug, so there's another excuse for why I haven't updated my blog. Today, Syd is at school and the boys are "quitely" playing, or should I say, they're upstairs and I'm not! So here are some pictures from our Nielsen camping trip up at the Spruces in Big Cottonwood Canyon. We had a total blast! The kids keep asking when we can go again, and this time can we take Daddy? They missed their daddy up there. He was off at Youth Conference with our ward youth, so this was a test to see if Mommy could handle the kids on her own on a camping trip. Overall I think it went pretty well.......thanks to my family helping me out. We only had a few minor problems, which for us is pretty darn good! And thank goodness the stomach virus waited to hit us when we weren't out of town and we had Daddy home to help out! :) So, here are some pics of our trip! :)

Done in after a fun long weekend!

You'd think as much as he was playing in that creek, he would have come home a little cleaner!

Dirtiest kid award......and no the goldfish did not survive.....they also got dirty!

My stylin' little guy! Gotta love camping when anything goes!

We stole a ski chair to rest the kids on!
