School is back in session.................

So after a long entertaining and exhausting summer, school finally started last week. Isaac is now in 4th grade, Sydney is now in 1st grade, and Noah is continuing with preschool. I can't believe how fast these kiddos are growing. Where does all that time go???? They are very excited though. Isaac has a new teacher this year and though his old teacher is greatly missed, he loves his new teacher....well so far anyway. He's a funny kid though, he doesn't tell us he's going to school, he's going to "work". His imagination is constantly going. Sydney of course is also very excited to go to 1st grade. For one thing, she was lucky enough to get the same teacher that she had for kindergarten which she absolutely ADORES!! On top of that, she thinks that going to school all day is the best thing ever. She loves that she gets to eat lunch and have more recesses. She didn't even want Mom to walk her to school anymore because "she's big enough" to do it herself....or so she thinks. I finally talked her in to letting me at least walk her on her first day so I could get some cute pics of her. She agreed to that, but prefers that I let her do it all by herself! Funny kiddo! Then there's Noah.....he had to be a part of all the excitement as well so when they started pulling out their backpacks and getting ready for school, he had to do the same so he hurried and got dressed and grabbed his backpack as well. He LOVES his siblings and man the first couple of days were hard for him. He was in such "sibling" withdrawl. After having them home all summer long he didn't know what to do with himself now that they are gone. He's especially having a hard time with his sister being gone since she's gone all day now. He keeps asking me when we can go pick her up. When she walked in the door this afternoon, he went running to the door about as fast as his legs could move so he could play with his sister. Such a funny kid. He started preschool today and so far is really enjoying it. He has a new teacher this year as well so we'll see how everything goes.

Lined up with her new class.....and Noah modeling his PJ's.

Catching up with one of her best buddies....and Noah wanting desperately to be part of it all.

Riding off to her first day of school.

Noah the preschool man.....

Sydney modeling one of her new outfits before taking off to do 1st grade testing.

Very excited for school to start! (Wanted to get all three in a picture, but Isaac leaves an hour before the others.)

Finally the bus arrives!!!

Isaac the big 4th grader!!!

HAPPY SCHOOL YEAR EVERYONE!!!

Some Highlights from our Summer!!

I have decided that I'm officially a horrible blogger these days. I do have a good excuse however.....I got a new camera!!! Chris got me a new SLR digital camera that I'm trying to learn how to use. It takes some pretty awesome pictures, but my computer does not like the pictures.....not enough memory I guess. So, finally I downloaded some pics onto his laptop, so thought I'd catch everybody up on the life of the Andrews Family. Honestly there isn't really much catching up to do. We didn't do any vacationing this year since we have a baby well on her way. I am now 32 weeks preg. and more than ready to be done with it! This time around has been really hard on my body, but the baby is doing really well. She is growing and developing as she should be. We're pretty sure we've decided on a name for the little munchkin, and the kids have been officially calling her "baby Emma", so I think we're going to stick with that. We have been making lots of changes in the house to make room for her, including painting a really cute room for her and Sydney to share. Other than that, the pics below will pretty much explain our summer. I could go into detail of everything, but don't want to bore everybody, so here it goes......And might I add, these are SOOOOOOO out of order. Sorry!

The good old Raingutter Regatta. Isaac won an award for the best looking boat. He actually did really well once he figured out how to blow the sail on the boat rather than water in his face. That's our boy!!!

24th of July primary parade!! The kiddos had so much fun decorating their bikes/scooters for the parade. Then a member of the primary presidency took the bishopbric around in their convertible, so Noah got to ride in the convertible with his dad. He was in heaven!

The kiddos on the 4th of July. They had so much fun. We had Grandparents over for a BBQ, and then bought our own fireworks to light off that night, but the neighbors had such a great illegal show going (they even got busted for it), that we put ours away and watched theirs instead. The kids had a blast, and even though one of the fireworks hit our garage, our house still remained in one piece by the end of the night.

Noah holding his new "Andrews" cousin. This is lil Amelia (Lindsey's baby). The kids adore her and love when she comes over to play! Hope they'll feel the same way when their sister is born! :)

Our lil "Squidney" the dancer. She had her final recital the end of June. She's a great little dancer, and has now decided to hang up the tutu and do some Jazz dancing and Piano lessons instead. It'll be fun to see how she does.

Isaac's last day of school (back in June again). He and his class had just finished dancing to their favorite song.....YMCA!

Noah.....well.....just being Noah.

Took the kiddos on Memorial Day to The Living Planet Aquarium. They had a lot of fun there. It was hard to pull them away from it all.

Friday nights around our house have officially become movie/popcorn nights. They look forward to this every week. It's been really fun for them and as you can see, it's creating a nice bond between the 3 of them.

And last but not least........Need I say more???? Having too much fun to really care about what's happening!! That's our boy!

So yes we may not have done any vacationing this year, but none the less, the summer was still busy and lots of fun for the kids.
